Questions parents ask about Early Years

What age is the Early Years group for?

Early Years is for children aged 2 to 3 years. Before it, children are in our toddler group, and after it they move up to pre-school. Balloon Nursery welcomes children from 45 days to 4 years.

What does a day look like for a 2-year-old?

Two-year-olds learn through play: role play, art, stories, songs and outdoor games, with caregivers who follow each child's pace. Our guide to your 2-year-old at nursery explains it in more detail.

Which curriculum do you follow?

We follow the British EYFS curriculum with hands-on, Montessori-style learning, and we are licensed by SPEA (Sharjah Private Education Authority).

Will my child learn in Arabic and English?

Yes. Children hear and use Arabic and English every day, in stories, songs and activities.
