Parents ask

Questions parents ask about our curriculum

What curriculum does Balloon Nursery follow?

We follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), delivered through Montessori-style hands-on learning, so children learn by touching, trying and discovering things for themselves.

What does Montessori-style learning mean at Balloon?

It means practical, hands-on activities that children choose and work through at their own pace, such as sensory play, sorting and building, inside the EYFS framework. Our guide on EYFS vs Montessori explains how the two approaches differ.

Will my child learn in English and Arabic?

Yes. Children hear and use English and Arabic every day, in stories, songs and simple instructions, so they grow confident in both languages.

Who licenses Balloon Nursery?

Balloon Nursery is licensed by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), the body that oversees private nurseries in Sharjah.

Which ages does the curriculum cover, and can we see it in action?

The curriculum covers children from 45 days to 4 years, and we are open every day from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Book a visit on WhatsApp at +971 50 342 8582 to see the classrooms for yourself.
